Perpetual Type Book

The goal of this project was to explore whether computers could learn to design typefaces based on typographic rules and how such technology could assist type designers in experimenting with new letterform ideas.

The result is a book documenting the research process. Printed on transparent paper it reflects how the technology works. The machine layers the data together and from those layers new data emerges
